A Payments company at the forefront of the sector is seeking a Senior Strategic Business Analyst to lead the financial analysis and cost modelling activities for a variety of projects contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

Key responsibilities:

*Lead the design of an approach for cost modelling of the shared infrastructure including analysis of current costs, future strategic options and the transition costs from current to future
*Responsible for developing and agreeing with stakeholders a cost model, covering development and operational costs, for the strategic end states
*Stakeholder engagement: deal directly with senior stakeholders across the company as part of conducting cost modelling work and participate in wider stakeholder engagement activities
*Produce high level project plans for the cost modelling work stream, liaising with all team members on the overall strategy programme plan

Skills Required:

*Good knowledge of building effective financial analysis models (eg spreadsheet models)
*Good experience of cost modelling
*Working knowledge of the financial drivers for payments systems
*Experience working on strategy projects, framing analysis and recommendations at a strategic level
*Understanding of payments schemes and mechanisms
*Good knowledge of UK financial regulatory environment
