Storage System Administrator

On behalf of our client, a leading global company within IT, we are looking for Windows Senior System Administrators for Contract positions based in Basel - Switzerland.

Local based candidates are preferred.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: (IN THE ORDER OF PRIORITY)

- 7 -10 years in Storage and Server Administration
- VERITAS Volume Manager 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.5
- Good understanding on EMC Storage array and solution offerings
- 5 - 7 years in EMC storage management and Backup management
- DB Agents ie .. Oracle SQL Exchange.
- Tape Cloning/Export/Vaulting concept
- Vmbackups configuration on both VMDK and Standard file .
- Hardware: Tape Library concepts SCIS or Fiber vendor/DELL/IBM/SUN/HP and Netapp VTL Tape Library
- Good Experience knowledge EMC Storage offerings, Data domain, SAN Switches, HBA, Multipathing software.

SAN/NAS

- Space and quota
- Upgrades and patches
- Installation and decommissioning
- Maintenance and troubleshooting
- Upgrades and patch installation*
- File Server administration
- Vendor coordination for break fix
- SOX auditing for critical Servers.
- Performance Tuning
- Configuring Security polices and Group policies
- Troubleshooting RAID and Mirroring
- Creating Disk Groups/RAID/Pools
- Create/Modify LUNs
- Assign LUN to a FC port
- Configure a Switch in existing fabric
