Storage Engineer - NAS - Administrator - Unix - Linux - Switzerland

STORAGE AND BACKUP SYSTEM ENGINEERrequired, to work within a major Pharmaceutical Client

MAJOR TASKS:

-Technical local & global NAS storage
-Maintain state-of-the-art and flexible storage infrastructure;
-Maintain Quality documentation in the area of expertise (IQ, WI, OM documents);
-Engineer & maintain leading-edge heterogeneous NAS network storage infrastructure hardware and software.
-Support heterogeneous storage and backup environment (EMC Isilon, NetApp)
-Support technical storage projects such as data migration & hardware life cycle
-Organize and schedule maintenance
-Maintain storage Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) & Working Instructions (WI) for Quality Management
-Support and Implement Disaster Recovery solutions in the area of expertise
-Manage and enhance advanced storage tools for centralized operations, monitoring & reporting.
-Provide storage report on-request using existing storage management tools and processes
-Provide technical expertise to system engineers and IT architects
-Increase security capabilities and mitigate risks applying global security Baseline
-Ensure proper infrastructure implementation of global standards, policies and regulatory compliance (GLP/GCP: Good Laboratory Practice/Good Clinical Practice).
-Create and maintain documentation for the RCP Stage1 and Stage2 operations teams.
-Handle incidents and request escalated from the ServiceDesk and/or Stage1/Stage2 teams.

MAIN SKILLS:

-Minimum 4 years of experience in area of responsibility: Enterprise NAS storage environments
-Training record in area of responsibility
- Good technical experience in storage operation environment such as: NetApp, ISILON IQ
-Experience in Netapp 7mode to cdot migrations in multi-protocol environments.
-Good experience in large enterprise operation environment
-Suitable experience in storage operation environment such as: EMC-VNX, Brocade or Cisco SAN Fabric Switches, Veritas Netbackup, Datadomain
-Linux/Unix and bash/powershell Scripting experience is an asset.
-Experienced working in local & global storage projects (on time, on spec, on quality and on budget).
-Ability to work in a team of 5+ people
-Practical, hands-on personality, results-oriented
-Flexible to accommodate organizational changes in evolving IT Infrastructure Organisation
- Fluent in English
-Start: ASAP - 31.12.2016 with option for extension for another 10 months
-Hourly gross rate: 80.- CHF per hour, (equal 95.- CHF/hour contractor rate all in. with an own limited Swiss Company you could charge)
