Storage Administrator (Netapp)

We are looking for a Storage Administrator - NetApp in Atlanta, GA

Duration: 6 months+

Start: 1-2 weeks

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least 5 years' experience in NetApp support role with relevant and current certifications
- Work collaboratively within a team of other engineers
- Working knowledge of the following protocols; CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI
- Providing support for storage projects and solutions such as backup and restore, disaster recovery, storage consolidation, data protection, and storage performance
- Good experience with SAS, Disk Driver, distributed systems and Storage Shelf Enclosure
- Competency in Microsoft Windows systems administrator and a strong understanding of VMWare; Must be adept in provisioning storage to both platforms via NFS and iSCI
- Implementation of new SAN/NAS equipment and migration from old storage, decommissioning of old storage, etc.
- Storage efficiency optimization such as upgrades, performance tuning, and system audit tasks
- Create and maintain storage infrastructure Best Practices and How-To documentation
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the underlying storage architecture and features, including ability to explain aggregates, volumes, luns, thin vs. thick provisioning, replication, and be familiar with various console commands, etc.
- Strong analytical skills from system level to application level

Strong understanding of VMWare and virtualization technologies is a plus.
