Storage Administrator (Linux)

Storage Administrator (Linux) urgently required for interesting contract in Eindhoven or Hamburg

The Storage Administrator (Linux) will ideally have the following skills and expertise:

* Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux Servers.
* Administration of linux Servers in virtual environment.
* Administration of Satellite server.
* Hardware knowledge (C7000, Blades, rack based Servers etc).
* Hands-on experience with storage data migration in OS side.
* Installation and configuration of HA environment using Veritas Cluster.
* Hands-on on VMware ESX Administration.
* Configuration and administration of LVM, RAID (SW/HW), Veritas volume manager, SVM etc.
* Automate by writing Shell Scripts to accomplish day to day system administration tasks
* Capacity planning and fine tune Servers for optimal performance
* Exposure on SAN and NAS storage.
* Exposure and hand-on towards Virtual connect/C7000
* Administration of NIS environment.
* Exposure towards LDAP and powerbroker.
* Sound knowledge in key services( Autofs, Samba, NTP, NFS, Iscsi etc)
* Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning.
* Performance Management & fine tuning.
* Basic Knowledge on Network principals.
* Patch and Package administration
* Shell Scripting.
* Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.
* Knowledge on Docker.
* Hands-on exposure towards Redhat cluster.
* Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues.
* Proactive problem management and engage team on proactive problem tasks.
* RCA preparation and presentation to customer for high priority incidents.
* Should be Redhat Certified Person.
* Hands-on on Redhat Virtualization.
* Knowledge on OpenStack, AWS, Azure cloud.
* Knowledge on Jboss or any Middleware apps will be an added advantage.
* Hands-on towards Ansible, Puppet.
* Hands-on on LSF administration.
* Hands-on on VDI, Leostream and EoD
* Experience on UCS, Synergy setup and administration.
* Hands-on Netapp administration
* Hands on Netapp cluster builds, Aggregate creation, Volume Creation, Volume extension.
* Hands on Netapp monitoring and provisioning tools.
* Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written).
