We are looking for a Test Environment Manager with lots of experience around defining and setting up test environments.

ROLE

Working as part of our delivery team we are looking for a very senior and experienced test environment manager who has exceptional stakeholder management experience and very strong communication skills as there is a very large and important stakeholder group for this environment so precise communication is a must. This should be accompanied by detailed knowledge of what is required to create a test environment for a high profile testing projects.

The test environment manager will initially engage with project stakeholders to define the requirements of the environment. Then looking at the available technology document a strategy and technology recommendations to achieve the creation of the testing environment with the ultimate aim being the approval of the client's stakeholders and project representatives.

The next phase will be to set about designing and building the environment followed by managing it once live. This will also include procurement and assembly of all hardware and software technologies as well as the test resource to run the environment. This will include server operating systems, client, database server, (potentially web browsers), IIS, virtualisation, etc.

This will also include all tools for configuration management, incident management and of course testing. Not just for setup, but ongoing daily use of the environment.

Day to day activities will include, but not be limited to:

- Creating plan for the environment execution, in line with other environment like production.
- Set the processes, communicate processes and execute plan as per process. Process should be in line with overall test strategy and configuration management process.
- Able to coordinate and communicate clearly with security approval team, DBA team (data movement, deployment, etc.), testing teams, etc.
- Able to bring prioritization, communicate same and utilize server as per priority.
- In case of conflicts (execution of one project impact to other project) able to drive conclusions.
- Able to own the environment, independently.
- Ensure process is followed by all projects and highlight the deviations precisely.
- Communicate Matrix of environment utilization, up time, deployments and executions.
- Able to understand data warehouse flow execution.
