Steelworker - Non Local

Steelworker (non-local) - Barrow-in-Furness - £20.73 an hour - 6 months

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence companies.

The purpose of the role is to be involved in all aspects of steelwork involved in submarine construction. Major and minor fabrication, ability to work to drawings and written instructions. Consistently produce work within tolerance to the correct acceptance standard. Use of optical alignment tools and measuring equipment.

Experience required for this role:-
-Recognised apprenticeship in ship building or steelworking
-C & G Level 3 or equivalent.
-NVQ L3 (dependent on time-served date).
-Demonstrate experience in Shipbuilding, Nuclear, Petro-Chem. Offshore, Marine, Heavy Engineering.
-Previous experience in erection of large steel fabrications.
-Knowledge of Dry Survey and marking off, mock-up and some wood experience would be desirable
