Statutory Reporting Analyst - London

My client are currently recruiting for a Statutory Reporting Analyst to join their Finance team on an initial 6 month engagement to be based in London.

The client would like the candidate to be a self starter and someone who has exceptional Financial Reporting skills and solid experience in Statutory Accounts.

The candidate must be able to engage and influence key stakeholders including external Auditors, business unit finance teams and provide specialist technical accounting support. You must be a qualified accountant with experience in the process of financial statements from trial balance to completion of audit and have an in-depth understanding of both UK GAAP and IFRS and experience of interpreting the standards to workplace scenarios.

* Strong commercially and highly numerical with high analytical ability.
* Very strong knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS and the confidence to apply them to practical examples.
* Strong knowledge of accounting policies, processes and systems.
* Able to challenge the way things are done and look at ways to improve processes.
* Strong and proficient Microsoft office skills
* Able to identify key issues and provide task leadership when appropriate.
* Able to work independently, ability to seek out necessary resources and work in a pressured environment.
