Statistical Programmer - Penninsula/SF

Responsibilities:

* Performs programming and application support in order to provide results for the capturing and delivery clinical study and research data, to facilitate decision making, or to discover, improve, develop or defend new or existing products.
* Programming may also be performed to provide results that reveal application performance.
* Provides experienced trouble-shooting in resolving problems in support of assigned projects. Provides technical input to streamline and improve operational issues related to the area.
* Establishes relationships and collaborates with others on business / research projects. Communicates results of programming efforts on clinical systems within the area.
* May assist in implementing new technologies / methodologies that will improve current and future decision-making or business process. May assist in training employees in the use of these technologies / methodologies.
* Plans and carries out professional development under the supervision of immediate manager.
* The efficiency of performance in this posting has a direct relation on the quality and speed in the area of drug development conducted by the company. Effective job performance can have a major impact on the time to finalize clinical trials.
* Contributes to the business / scientific / management decision-making process.
* Contributes to strategic decision making in regards to clinical information, systems development, and technology projects.
* Decisions resulting in a solution to technical, operational and developmental problems posed by project teams and management
* Decisions regarding workflow and priorities to meet project and business priorities.
* Decisions regarding daily time allocation to complete work plan. Decisions related to professional development.
