Sr, BI Systems Analyst Job

SENIOR BI SYSTEMS ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's client located St. Louis, MO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Will manage the Front End BI reporting tools and applications.
- Will develop reports, report templates, and reporting strategies.
- Will also configure and tune BI reporting tools, create the semantic and metadata layers, develop BI team reporting standards and code review junior BI System Analyst work.
- Perform metadata and report catalog migrations.
- Develop semantic layer and metadata repository
- Create BI reporting standards and socialize them throughout the organization
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business super users
- Perform metadata and report catalog migrations
- Code review junior team member reporting solutions
- Monitor system performance
- Assist the BI architect and data acquisition team during data modelling
- Review BI reporting requirements to ensure and offer solutions to complex reporting scenarios
- Develop reports and dashboards using OBIEE and/or SQL
- Identify source system data sources
- Mentor junior members of the BI System Analyst

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three to five (3-5) years of experience supporting BI applications
- Experience mentoring junior members of a team
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) or similar preferred
- Knowledge of HTML, XML and CSS and Scripting languages preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS required
- Knowledge of BI Tool architectures, functions and features
- Ability to customize BI Tools to meet business requirements
- Comfortable reviewing business requirements with any range of junior or executive business team members and capable of negotiating end user priorities.
- Solid understanding of relational data modelling and database design skills
- knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL and stored procedures
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
