SQL Server/Sybase DBA

SQL Server/Sybase DBA.

Strong SQL Server DBA required along with good Sybase DBA to join strong the team to cover production and project DBA work.

Main Duties:

Production Support SQL and Sybase DBA duties; Change Activity Incident Management Upgrades ie: SQL Server version upgrade, other database tools upgrade; Database migration Capacity planning ie: disk 'memory' cpu; Performance tuning; Root cause analysis; Application engagement

Key Strengths/Abilities required:

- Must have extensive experience as SQL Server and Sybase Database Administrator - at least 3-5 years in large, high volume and high criticality environments
- Must have extensive experience Monitoring and analysing SQL Server production metrics
- Some performance tuning - query and server optimization
- Experience with Log Shipping, Database Snapshots, Database Mirroring
- Understanding of multi-tier architectures from a conceptual level and support bank critical application.
- SQL Server Versions: SQL 2000 and above
- OS Version: Windows 2003/8 and above
- To join experiences DBA team.
