ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a SQL Server DBA for a Direct-Hire opportunity in Plano, TX.  The SQL DBA will manage/maintain all production and non-production databases.  The SQL DBA will be responsible for creating and maintaining the standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance access and security administration. The SQL DBA will perform Backup/Recovery on Database Management Systems. The SQL DBA will assist technical end users in database design and query optimization. Additionally, the SQL DBA will need to possess strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in the following skill sets

- SQL Server 2005/2008/R2/2012 Production Server DBA
- 24x7 Production Support Environment
- Database Troubleshooting/Capacity Planning
- Database Access/Allocates/Re-Allocates Optimizations
- Database Configurations for Optimization/Data Performance
- Performance Monitoring/Troubleshooting/Profiling
- Assist Technical End-Users in Database Design/Query Optimizations
- T-SQL/Stored Procedures/Joins/Functions/Views/Indexes/Triggers, etc.
- Database Design/Storage
- Physical Data Storage
- SAN - Storage Area Networking
- Access/Security Maintenance
- Large OLTP Database Systems Administration (500GB+)
- Large Data Warehouse Systems Administration (1TB+)
- SSAS 2005/2008/2012 Administration
- Database Management Systems Backup/Recovery
- Database Cluster Installation/Administration - Active/Passive and Active/Active
- Transactional/Merge Replication Installation/Maintenance
- Migrations - SQL Server Migrations to Different Storage/Hardware
- Operating Systems - Windows 2005/2008 Servers
