SQL Server DBA - Glasgow

Huxley Associates is currently working with our client, a leading financial institution to assist them in the recruitment of an additional two SQL Server DBA to join their team.
Working across the organisation's functions, this team is responsible for the ongoing support of over 2000 SQL server instances and project delivery.
Main Duties
* Project Change Activity
* Major Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis
* Upgrades i.e.: SQL Server version upgrade, other database tools upgrade.
* Database upgrade and migration
* Capacity planning i.e.: disk "memory" cpu
* Performance tuning
* Application engagement
Person Requirements
You need to be able to offer extensive experience as Production support SQL Server Database Administrator, operating in large, high volume and high criticality environments. You need to have experience with high availability (MS Cluster Service). The organisation is an early adoptor of SQL 2012, so any experience of this would be beneficial.
You need to have expertise in solving database contention problems (dead locks, blocking etc), experience Monitoring and analyzing SQL Server production metrics (DMV's), and performance tuning including both query and server optimization.
In addition, exeprience Transactional Replication, Log Shipping, Database Snapshots, Database Mirroring all beneficial.
