SQL Server DBA/Developer

12 month contract assignment for a SQL Server DBA who has extensive knowledge in SQL development and report building. The main focus is normal day to day DBA activities on a non IT infrastructure (ie not looking for someone who was part of a large IT team and was responsible for just patching Servers with the latest software updates, but has experience in hardware and memory management and SQL tuning). Most importantly, need a candidate who has specific examples of dealing with large data sets on different databases and bringing them into a single federated one so they can do SQL development.

Hardware management (RAID drives, tape backup)
Backup and recovery strategy
Memory management
Linked Servers (DB2, Oracle, etc.)
SSIS best practices
Windows Server knowledge (including security)
Role-based security
Database management (drive space, isolation by major functionality)
SSMS best practices (error handling/notification, memory management, use of temp tables)
Job/Scheduling setup and management
Replication best practices (particularly for large data sets across multiple databases)
Routine security/object cleanup automation
