*This is an opportunity with a qualified Database Developer to work for the most popular computer components brand in the world.*

POSITION WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

- Tune and resolve performance issues (using new and existing stored procedures and methodologies).
- Architect and implement a solution for migration of historical data and data retrieval methodologies.
- Design & implement new database schema to support new requirements.
- Implement solutions and train existing SQL database developers.
- Assist with reporting solution in place (optimization, new reports, etc.).
- Champion and train team on best coding practices.
- SQL Stored procedures utilizing XML may be involved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- MS SQL Server (v 2005 or higher) database refactoring experience and experience in design, development, test, deployment of database objects, security, and recovery in a relational database
- Strong database performance tuning & optimization skills
- Training skills
- SSRS and SSIS experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience with replication (transactional or log shipping) preferred
- Experience with OLAP or other data warehousing solution design, development, test, deployment, maintenance
- Experience with data migration
- Passion for data, database design, and performance optimization
- Excellent performance tuning and optimization skills
- Familiarity with analysing execution plans MS SQL Server Team player with excellent communication and coaching skills
- Strong ability to solve business problems through creative and analytical set based logic
- Working in a Agile (Scrum) environment a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience successfully working both remotely and in a co-located environment
