SQL Developer

A top financial firm is looking for a SQL Developer to join their Compliance IT team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 6+ month contract that they will be looking to extend or turn full time. The rate will be based upon experience, however they are looking to pay for a senior consultant. Main Duties: * Convert functional specifications into technical specifications for the upcoming business requirements * Analyze the data from upstream systems for correctness and completeness. * Development of new application components based on the project requirements * Perform Data migration activities based on the project requirements. * Perform coding and testing for the new requirements in BSA / MANATAS CB AML system * Perform system testing and assist business users in UAT * Perform data analysis & write reporting queries Basic Qualifications: * 5 + years Development & testing using Windows Servers, SQL Server, Unix shell script, SQL queries and Windows appliction services * 5 + years Experience of working in detail with Investment Banking products and processes. * Preferred Qualifications * Sound knowledge of software development methodologies and technology product lifecycles. * Ability to understand business requirements and develop software solutions. * Solid SQL skills, very good technical understanding of Unix, SQL server, Oracle PL/SQL & Sybase * Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to the business users * Excellent MS Office skills (esp.
