SQL DBA (Database Administrator)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SQL DBA (DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR) to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL.
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Take care of the Database design and implementation.
- Database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Application tuning and performance monitoring.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two (1-2) years Datawarehouse experience.
- Six to nine (6-9) years of SQL Server experience.
- Hands-on DBA experience troubleshooting and production support.
- Preferred - 1. MS SQL 2012 experience 2. Datawarehouse and ODS experience.
- 3 major soft skills: Work collaboratively with a team, flexible, able to follow processes.
- Must have experience doing SQL sub server system support.
- MS SQL clustering and mirroring experience.
- Experience supporting high availability systems.
- Must have SQL 2008 R2 experience.
- Must have very large database experience.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills, will work with customers.
