Our Client is looking for a Database Administrator with Oracle, SQL 2005 and RAC for a 8 month contract in Brussels, Belgium

The Client:

The Role:

Understand New Features in SQL Server 2005 Data transfer and connectivity command list BCP, OSQL, ISQL, DTS Security Creation of logins/users.
Grant/Deny permissions.
Advanced Database Maintenance work moving databases between Servers, planning and sizing databases.
Configuration Management: Good knowledge of SP_configure, clear understanding of configuration parameters of SQL Server at server level as well as database level.
Understanding Query execution plan Understanding of SQL Profiler & other Windows performance monitoring tools, Performance counters, analysing profiler outputs Remote Access
Advanced linked Server, Querying linked server data TSQL
Advanced Writing complex queries/SP.
Resolving performance issues in SP/Queries.
Log Shipping Setup/Initialization/Failover Replication Setup/Initialization Connectivity Issues resolving any connection issue to SQL Server like SSPI context error/SSL error.
Handling Fragmentation/Statistics/Index related issues related to slow performance.
Logical & Physical Database Design, normalization, Codd's Rule Access Violation monitoring and troubleshooting any AV's in SQL Server.
SQL Cluster Management Low Free Memory Basic Log Shipping Troubleshooting Basic Replication Troubleshooting Installation of SQL Server instance on Cluster server.
Cluster Administration
Understanding of Cluster Administration tool, Start/Stop SQL resources, Online/Offline Cluster Resources, getting SQL Cluster status using query(command line), moving resources between nodes. SQL Server 2000/2005Service Account Selection and Management, Network Connectivity,
Lockdown of System Stored Procedures, Schema, Encryption, Patching Installing Service Packs and Applying Hot fixes troubleshooting SQL-Agent job, Full-Text Search failure.
Basic Database Mirroring Troubleshooting

Skills Required:

SQL Server 2000 & SQL Server 2005 DBA
Installed and configured SQL Server 2000/SQL Server 2005
Worked with SAN Environment and good knowledge of SAN
Strong knowledge of Performance Tuning (includes usage of Profiler and other tools)
Strong knowledge of high availability solutions like cluster, replication, database mirroring required.
Strong knowledge to perform Disaster Recovery required
Provide technical support, consultation and guidance to project teams.
Strong knowledge of T-SQL required
DR Strategies
Capacity planning, design
Documentation Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional 9i/10GClient Environnent
SQL Server 2000
Enterprise Manager
Quest Foglight/Shareplex
Clustering, Backup software, Transact-SQL, DTS and other SQL Server tools and Unicenter
