SQL DBA

SQL DBA, SQL Server, SQL Server Performance, Tivoli monitoring, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS

We are looking for is looking for a senior SQL DBA for 4 month initial assignment in Brussels, however it is likely there will be an extension beyond 30/6

Skills needed are

General
- High sense of ownership & taking initiatives of customer request
- Having skill to handle high priority situation independently.
- Experience with working in a critical production environment
- Good teaming skills: strong team worker & leader
- Being able to transfer technical experiences and knowledge to other team members, coaching
- Project management skills to lead and coordinate transfer projects of additional work from local to IDC
- Good communication skills: in writing, verbaland in usage of the right medium for the right goal
- Discrete, patient, immune to stress, pro-active, problem solver and end-to-end responsibility are key
- Flexible to work in between 07:00h and 19:00h
- Flexible to work out of business hours, including weekends.
- Min. 3 years experience. in multi customer environment SQL
- server Maintaining a SQL Server Business Intelligence environment with Windows/Linux in a multi-domain/multi-customer environment
- 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server ( 2000, 2005, 2008R2 and 2012) experience with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices:
- SQL Server installation, patching, and upgrades
- Experience with maintaining large databases
- Transactional replication and database mirroring
- Database backup/restore, knowledge of Tivoli Data protector for SQL
- Good working knowledge of database security concepts
- SQL Server Performance monitoring and problem debugging: SQl server Profiler and Windows Performance Monitor, Tivoli monitoring
- SQL Server cluster support
- SQL Server SSRS, SSIS and SSAS - SQL server installation in Microsoft or symantec cluster
- Basic knowledge of MySQL.
- Good knowledge of Tivoli monitoring tool
