Currently this highly successful and growing business, part of Capita Plc (FTSE 100), is looking for a SQL DBA/Programmer to support business as usual activity on a support desk joining a small DBA team supporting around 20 instances and 200 databases on the following SQL Server versions - 2000, 2005, 2008. As part the role there will also be the opportunity to become involved in project work.

Key projects underway at present:
*Standardisation of SQL Server Maintenance Plans
*Rework and Creation of New SSRS Reports to support business needs
*Upgrading of SQL Server 2000 and 2005 installations and related applications to SQL Server 2008 including Sage, Primavera, Cognos, Proquis and Sharepoint.
*Implementation of Records management in Content Management System - Opentext Content Server 10This role would most immediately suit a current SQL Server DBA but would also provide a platform for an experienced SQL Server Programmer to move into the role of SQL Server DBA. To apply to join us as a SQL DBA then we require you to have the majority of the below skills:*Installation of Microsoft Software onto Servers (ideally SQL Server 2008)
*Migration of databases ( ideally SQL Server 2000/2005 to SQL Server 2008)
*T-SQL Scripting
*SSRS
*ELIGIBILITY FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE

Desirable skills include:
*SQL Server Administration including Maintenance plans and ad hoc T-SQL Scripting
*SQL Server 2008 High Availability
*SSIS
*SQL Server Performance Tuning
*MS Access Database (97/2003/2007) migration to SQL Server 2008 including web Front End Scripting
