SQL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER/T-SQL/SSIS/SDLC/CUBES ARCHITECTURE

Square One is currently recruiting for an experienced SQL Business Intelligence Developer to be based in Dublin for a 6 month rolling contract.

THE EXPERIENCED DEVELOPER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES;

- Work as part of a highly skilled global development team undertaking specific tasks assigned
- Perform analysis and design of functional and technical requirements
- Production of technical design documentation from functional specifications/business requirements
- Complete application design, code, unit test and integration test tasks adhering to design/development standards within agreed time frames
- Build and maintain reporting SQL Server data marts/SQL Server data warehouses which include tables, views, cubes and dimensions. Also includes supporting the ETL processes to the data marts.
- Design and build supporting framework for reporting utilizing toolset: SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Provide ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude) for tasks allocated
- Actively participate in design and code review sessions
- Work independently to complete application development tasks
- Be a quick learner with the ability to work under pressure
- Organize work priorities and manage time effectively
- Communicate progress and issues relating to tasks assigned to Lead/Project Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: SQL 2012 IS PREFERRED FOR ALL BELOW.

- SQL Server 2005/2008 and 2012 design and development (4+ years)
- Power pivot in excel
- Understand Cubes architecture
- Application Development experience (5+ years)
- T-SQL experience, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience (4+ years)
- Experience using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS) (2+ years)
- Experience in using ETL tools
- Experience of analysis/design
- Good understanding of SDLC methodology
- Experience of working in a team environment
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- College degree in IT or equivalent

THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS WOULD CONSIDERED TO BE AN ADVANTAGE

- Experience in design and building of OLAP cubes for data analysis and modelling
- Microsoft Silverlight
- Knowledge of Front End technologies such as Share Point portal, Proclarity are desirable
- Knowledge and experience of web UI technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML)
- Experience of OOA/OOD
- Relevant Certified Professional qualifications
- Knowledge of TSP/PSP or Agile methodologies
- Experience using  C# and ASP.NET (optional but nice to have)
- Experience working on enterprise scale software development projects
- Experience writing MDX (Multidimensional expressions) - MDX expressions and query writing
- Industry experience in data warehousing and business intelligence
- Base SAS development experience, nice to have OR and ETS.
- Experience with SAS Visual Analytics
- Reports development in SAS and SAS Office.
