Specialty Doctor in Geriatrics

The Health Care of the Elderly Division provides a comprehensive service to all the older people with complex needs, stroke patients and Parkinson's disease and osteoporosis patients.

As the Specialty Doctor in Geriatrics you will be expected to provide a middle grade service for integrated medicine. You will also be expected to participate in the medical on-call rota and will contribute to 8 weeks cycle job plan with 10 programmed activities per week and 3 additional PAs.

You will be expected to participate in the department's undergraduate/postgraduate and Advanced Nurse Practitioner education programme.

In return you will be appointed as a full time Geriatric Specialty Doctor for a fixed term of 12 months with a view to moving into a permanent post at the end of contract.

In order to be considered for this position is it essential for candidates to have at least 4 years full-time post graduate experience (with at least 2 years in general medicine at SHO/CT1 level or above).
