New Directions Education are currently recruiting for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to support various SEN schools across Birmingham and West Midlands. The special needs vary from profound and multiple learning difficulties, visual and hearing impairments, social and behavioural issues and complex needs. Successful applicants will ideally be qualified with a NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent and be available for short and/or long term posts. Applicants will preferably have a background in SEN to meet the demands of the children. Positions may include working on a one-to-one basis to support children, provide curriculum support, assist with playground and playtime activities, help with personal care and independent work.
