Special Instructional Officer (Aircraft)

Background

Our Central Government client is currently recruiting for an Aircraft (Airframe and Engines) Specialist Instructional Officer at the School of Army and Aeronautical Engineering (SAAE) in Berkshire. This is a 6 month contract post.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

You will be responsible to the Aircraft Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the aircraft discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material.

Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (SOSHH) regulations.

Skills/Experience Required
Candidates should have 5 years practical experience in their trade (highly desirable).

Tests: Selection for the post will be by Trade Test, Lecturette and Interview

Formal Qualifications Required
Qualifications:
Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship or a relavent alternative period of training and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Aircraft (Aircraft and Engine) Trade Discipline.
