Essential Skills of the Sox Auditor:
Financial audit/controls experience
Must have Sox section 404, and 302 experience
Control testing experience
The role will involve undertaking controls testing within an in-bedded process and programme
Open on sector experience
Must be organised and a team player
Must be flexible and willing to accommodate the needs of the role
Strong and proven engagement experience with Business Stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication
Proactive approach

Role of the Sox Auditor:
100% technical execution role. Supporting the Controls and Compliance Team Manager, which includes:
*Working with the Service Delivery Managers across all Towers and the Service Provider(s) to identify ongoing assurance requirements and ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date and maintained to an appropriate standard
*Performing a detailed and accurate review of monthly reports produced by the service provider(s) on all activities which impact on compliance
*Interfacing with external auditor to ensure the Compliance and Controls team continues to deliver to audit requirements and that implementation of audit points is carried out by the Service Provider(s)
*Identifying and promoting best practice and communicating where process improvements can be made, both within the team and in the wider business.
*Identifying key compliance weaknesses and proposals to implement remedial action as appropriate.
*Mindful of any changing requirements in legislation and external standards and highlighting these to Controls and Compliance Team Manager for onward communication and consideration.
*Interfacing with the business system support team and service provider to ensure mySAP security compliance via control testing.
*Supporting the methodology and monitoring plans for continuous controls monitoring (CCM)
*Assisting in developing an effective sustainability model that continues to meet future compliance needs
*Performing regular and Adhoc Risk reviews including, but not limited to the reviews of Shared Services Risk Register, Compliance and Letter of Assurance returns.
*Maintenance of documentation repositories and infonet sites
*Support the Controls and Compliance Team Manager to ensure that all key controls are regularly assessed to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for each year end.

This would include the following activities:
- SOx scoping activities for the UK entity and SSC processes
- Quality Assurance over SOx process documentation
- Annual cycles of design and operational testing
- Evaluation of SOx control environment
- Communication re SOx compliance
- End user training for SOx depending on Tower responsibilities for BAU
