Solvency II Data Business Analyst

Primary purpose of role:

- To provide business analyst support for the Solvency II Data workstream.
- To support the Data workstream to ensure data meet the 3 criteria, appropriateness, accuracy and completeness
- Gain support where appropriate for Solvency II data requirements to be incorporated into existing and developing data governance and processes.
- Determine delivery methods and review existing controls
- Engage with and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Key deliverables:

- To develop and implement the Data Governance Framework for Solvency II
- To support the development of and populate the Data Dictionary and Data Directory
- To assess existing controls and monitoring tools and develop and implement into BAU
- Assessment of a Spreadsheet Management tool
- To design the selected Spreadsheet Management tool solution and create a Spreadsheet control process.
- Document the FSA Data report for submission to the FSA detailing compliance gaps and plans for remedial action

Essential Knowledge

- Broad understanding of Solvency II regulatory requirements
- Broad understanding of the financial services industry

Essential Skills

- Business / Process / Data Analysis experience
- Previous experience of regulatory driven data transformation programmes within the insurance industry
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Workshop facilitation
- Process re-engineering
- Good Stakeholder management
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
