Solutions Architect

Proteus Europe are currently looking to recruit a Solutions Architect to work in Brussels, Belgium. This will be on a contract basis until the end of 2015 for a major player in the utilities sector.

APPLICANTS MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH AS WELL AS FRENCH OR DUTCH. CANDIDATES ALSO MUST HAVE AT LEAST 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE UTILITIES SECTOR. CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THIS CRITERIA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Min 8 years of professional experience in the management of technological development platforms in Utility.
- Min 5 years of professional experience as a team leader, senoir analyst or solution architect in the Utility Market Communication domain at he supplier side
- The ideal candidate has a senior functional technical knowldedge about the Utility Market, at the supplier side
-Has a very good insight on market trends technical solutions on Atrias
- A proven track record of working on a successful Market Communication related implemented architectural designs.
- A proven track record of deliver successful solutions in complex negotiations
- Technical Background in SAP, .Net, SQL, Java and SOA, and sufficient technical and programming knowledge to correctly evaluate migration, trials and development strategies.
- The ideal candidate is able to explain to a main board in plain English and French or Dutch the complex technical reality, allowing the senior leadership of the company to evaluate options and take the right decisions

-Has strong listening and communication skills
-Has experience in facilitation, mediation and consensus building
-Is able to clearly present ideas, results and reports to a wide variety of stakeholders, from management over business to IT (in their 'language')
-Is open-minded, engaged, motivated, flexible and has a constructive attitude
-Is a master at winning hearts and minds of people in the spirit of what is best for the company
-Has a very strong conceptual mind and is able to transform theoretical concepts into pragmatic and working solutions
-Documenting the design into web service, interface, SOA, BPM, architecture, logical technical database modelling
-Lead a technical team towards building a sustainable End 2 End Solution
-Thinks big pictures can easely drill down into the details if required
-Decide what pert of scope in provided by which component or domain
-Has very strong negotiation skills
-Strong technical and analytical competences with strategic insight
-Has the capability to combine strategical insight in long term cost evolution with the tactical win-wins need to negociate with the business
