Solution Architect

A solution architect is needed to participate in the product development projects with the goal of developing the most efficient solution when it comes to cost, timing, quality and scalability. The product development is focused around OTT-services including live and VOD-streaming to multiple devices (STB, Tablets, Smartphones and potentially IDTV's)

Tasks and responsibilities

- Own the technical solution and be responsible for the solution throughout the solution life cycle.
- Designs and develop the technical solution within the scope of the system strategy.
- Is responsible for the translation of product requirements from Product Management or other instances into detailed functional- and technical specifications for the system or application.
- Orders new functionality for the solution/system within a frame agreement with existing suppliers.
- Leads the implementation of the solution in development projects and manages ongoing contacts with suppliers during a development project (primary contact) to ensure delivery dates.
- Is responsible for the specification of Test & Use Cases regarding the solution
- Signs off on suppliers solutions to ensure quality and long term feasibility
- Participates in product planning by working closely with Product Managers, System Managers and suppliers/partners.
- Keep track of, and give input to, suppliers development roadmaps.

Skills

- Documented experience of development of STB´s and/or web platforms
- Experience from working with product and system development of IT-based B2C services
- Working with functional and technical requirements on technical platforms and/or IT systems and processes.
- Industry experience from: TV devices, Pay-TV services, Internet services, OTT-services or Operator-business.
- Experience from an international working environment
