THE ROLE:

A leading Electronics company just outside of Leeds, West Yorkshire have a requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the research and development team for an initial 6 month contract period.

The company specialise in designing several handheld products aimed specifically at the medical sector. These are high volume and low value.

You will be tasked with working on the redesign of existing products as well as working on designs for new product developments.

For this role you should demonstrate having strong Solidworks 3D CAD experience, as well as plastic injection moulding design . Experience designing for electro mechanical / electronics products which will also be very beneficial.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Solidworks 3D CAD Design experience
Electro Mechanical / Electronic product experience
Plastic Injection Moulding- (Knowledge of moulding, selection of polymer etc)
Design for High Volume, Low Cost Value products

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Hand held product design
