**solidworks Draughtsman, Oxford, £15-£25p/h**

An urgent requirement has arisen for a contract Draughtsman to be based in Oxford.

The purpose of the position is to support and assist the Design Team through:
* Production of detailed design drawings for customer approval and manufacturing purposes.
* Generation of BOM's.
* Undertaking other essential design activities where required.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Production and accuracy of detailed design drawings and associated BOM'S in accordance with internal quality standards as directed by other team members.
* Ensure accurate transfer of design intent from 3D model to 2D drawing.
* Identify and advise instances of incompatible design specifications.
* Responsibility in managing own workload in order to meet agreed deadlines.
* Administration of project technical files.
* Communicating drawing intent to suppliers.

Essential Requirements:

Work experience:

* 3 years work experience

Software Knowledge:

* SolidWorks (day-to-day use of / with particular emphasis on 2D drafting)
* MS Office suite

Personal Specification:

* Self- motivated.
* Enjoy working within a fast paced structured environment
* Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to organise and manage own workload and meet strict deadlines
* Teamwork and co-operation; develop good working relationships with other departments and company members.
* Excellent attention to detail

* Must be able to demonstrate 'Cause & Effect' thinking, maturity and a practical aptitude.
* Competent IT skills.

Other:
* Own transport required (due to office location)

Desirable:
* Knowledge / experience of sheet metal manufacturing
* AutoCAD experience
