Software Tester

This large federal agency is part way through the development of a large web application and require the services of several testers to help with the next phase.

This role will see you working within a large team to deliver online, batch, and interface testing on a range of platforms.

This is an ideal contract to see you through the quieter Christmas/New Year's period in Canberra, with the successful candidates being offered a contract through to June .

KEY DUTIES:

- Analyse specifications and changes required to perform the testing process
- Write, review and execute test cases
- Raise defect reports and manage re-testing of defect fixes, and
- Assist with the planning, monitoring and management of the testing process.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Experience analysing complex business and technical specifications, and writing, reviewing and executing complex manual test cases
- Demonstrated experience using industry testing tools (eg HP quality Centre, MTM)
- Demonstrated experience in interrogating and querying databases using tools such as RC Update, Hyperion, SQL Server Management Studio

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

- Ability to learn new applications, business processes and procedures quickly
- Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with staff from technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Deadline orientated and able to effectively prioritise

You must be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN to be considered for this - however NO SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.
