Software QA Engineers

Our client has developed significant digital and mobile businesses for their best-selling mobile devices including music downloads, instant video, mobile apps and streaming audio. Many of these applications run on a range of mobile platforms including iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile and WebOS.

Right now this company needs Software QA Engineers to work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Software QA Engineers also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. Software QA Engineers will drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and execute test cases for specific feature areas
- Work with a team of quality engineering professions to ensure the highest quality product delivery
- File defects accurately with detailed information that aids in resolution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years' experience as part of a test team
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience validating high quality consumer facing applications on Embedded communications platforms
- Experience validating consumer user interfaces
- Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
- Experience working closely with development to communicate problemimpacts
