Software QA Engineer

*SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER NEEDED*

Our world-renowned client is developing context-aware sensors-enabled algorithms, systems and applications that will enable next generation IT platforms to be smarter and know users better, anticipating their needs.

For this research, we seeking resources to assist with tasks related to functional testing of applications and POCs as well as collecting data related to various sensing modalities.

MAIN TASKS FOR THIS PROJECT:

- Conduct functional testing, unit testing, regression testing on various applications and components being developed (eg applications to collect data from users in the field as well as applications that will enhance people with disabilities to perform daily activities and enable them to communicate more efficiently).
- Conduct data collection activities related to various sensing modalities under investigation (eg audio, inertial sensing, video). This activity would also include manual or automatic annotation of segments with ground truth data.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Must have 5-7 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in Windows environment
- Proficiency in Android OSs and SDK/tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment where priorities can change frequently
- Multi-tasking abilities, detailed-oriented

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Proficiency Scripting languages to perform analysis and automate tasks (preferably PHP, Perl, Python)
- Proficiency in Linux (preferably Ubuntu)
- Data Management (DBMS, CSV data, SQL, XML, JSON, etc.)
