Software Performance Engineer

SOFTWARE PERFORMANCE ENGINEER HILLSBORO, OR 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our client is the world s leading computer components company seeking a Software Engineer to rewrite from scratch an existing tool from VB.NET to C++ for multiplatform purposes. The tool is for creating an impedance profile for boards.

The Software Engineer will access registers in the CPU to initialize process and use an Oscilloscope to capture data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study Knowledge of computer architecture
- Familiarity with benchmarks and computer performance evaluation methods
- Software development skills
- Fluency in C and/or C++ and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Very strong programming skills in C/C++

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- 3+ years experience preferred
- Experience in Qt is added advantage
- Experience with National Instruments API
- Knowledge of Scripting language such as Perl or Python a plus
- Good analytical skills and debugging skills
