Software/Firmware Engineer

SOFTWARE ENGINEER NEEDED-.*WORK FOR THE LEADING COMPUTER COMPONENTS BRAND NAME.*

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Port Windows based K-Scope SW Tool with GUI which provides a framework for SoC display panel interoperability test generation and execution to a Linux PC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Add report generation capabilities and implement pass/fail criteria.
- Generate interoperability tests for several panels in consultation with display technologists and reading display specifications.
- Generate User Guide and train users.
- Understand, document and deliver turnkey solutions on schedule with minimum oversight.
- Generate bottoms up schedule, prioritization of tasks, managing risks and execution to schedule avoiding last minute surprises.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering
- 4-8 years hands-on experience in developing and testing software/firmware for mobile platforms
- Expertise in Embedded operating systems Android and Linux as well as Windows at BSP and App level
- Programming expertise in C language
- Experience in Android SDK and Eclipse as well as Windows development tools
- Documentation of software design and validation requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in working in a collaborative environment
- Experience developing automation of validation/verification tasks
- Proven track record with development of software/firmware solutions, integration, debug and deployment must
- Experience working on Device drivers for Sensors, Display and Touch
- Previous experience in Software Validation, Build, Release and Configuration Management

NICE TO HAVE:

- Familiarity with source control systems such as GIT a plus
- Previous experience in Software Validation, Build, Release and Configuration Management
- Expertise in web based UI design
- Python programming language
- Knowledge of HDL based simulation and RTL validation environments
- Ability to read schematics
