Software Engineer Unix/Linux

For our client, a global Telecommunications company in Munich, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer UNIX / Linux (m/f).

Location: Munich
Hire date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (+ extension)
Scope:
-2nd and 3rd Level support for data analysis/statistical analysis applications/document management solution
-general user support & consulting in english and german language
-handling of operational issues of applications in cooperation with users and IT team
-Adaptation and configuration of the system/applications
-testing and rollout of new software releases on Windows platform (clients and servers)
-implementation of UNIX/Linux/Solaris based scripting solutions
-Support 40%, development 60%

Qualifications
-Minimum qualifications:
- Solid hands on experience with UNIX/Linux/Solaris software installations and scripting implementations (bash, PERL)
- Good hands on experience on Windows platforms (Windows 8, Windows Server 2012)
- Solid experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL implementations
- Solid English and good german communication skills (must have)
-Preferred qualifications
- know how in several other programming languages (e.g. Java, C)
- Install Shield knowhow
- Know how in statistical analysis tools (e.g. Cornerstone, JMP, Statistica)
- semiconductor sector experience (nice to have)

Language:
English: fluently
German: good knowledge would be nice to have
