Software Engineer - Shell Scripting & Unix Packaging

On behalf of our client, a leading BANK in Zürich, Switzerland, we are looking for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER - SHELL SCRIPTING & UNIX PACKAGING in order to bring systems to life and drive innovation. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for English speaking candidates. ROLE:

- Creating of application packages for different components using OLU packaging
- Creating and maintaining of application deployment scripts (Webapp as well as database)
- Provisioning of application infrastructure (Servers, databases, storage etc.)
- Deployment of application in DEV and TEST environment
- Planning and performing infrastructure upgrades (Servers, Oracle database, Middleware)

TEAM DESCRIPTION:

You will be part of the Integration team in Zürich, which is in charge of managing the deployments and application in all the environments. The team contributes to creating application packages, deploying them, managing multiple releases simultaneously for multiple applications.

SKILLS:

- strong Shell Scripting skills and knowhow of Solaris/Linux OS
- hands-on experience in OLU packaging
- good knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins/TeamCity including Maven and SVN
- experienced in Oracle RDBM and SQL
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
- experience in UBS Internal tools like ELVIS, SNOW, Confluence and UBSDeploy will be plus
- fluency in English
