SOFTWARE ENGINEER - JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

ASMT LENGTH: 6 MONTHS

PAY: $50/HR

MAXIMUM HOURLY PAY RATE (BOTH STRAIGHT AND OVERTIME HOURS) = $50

THIS ASSIGNMENT THE MANAGER IS CONCENTRATING ON PYTHON EXPERIENCE. IF THEY HAVE PERL EXPERIENCE THAT\'S A PLUS

The Software Engineer will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role, you will:

Work in an environment of developers who use open-source development tools

Use strong Unix skills and full project life cycle experience

Participate in the design, development, and implementation of dynamic web applications and mobile applications

Experience with Perl on Web Applications (Object Oriented Design)

EXPERIENCE WITH PYTHON USING DJANGO OR QT

Experience with HTML5, AJAX, and Modern JavaScript Toolkits (jQuery, ExtJS, Dojo)

Experience using Scala with the Play framework would be a plus

Experience with MVC Frameworks (Catalyst, Template Toolkit, Django)

Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL database

Experience with Revision Control (Hg, Git, CVS)

Experience with Scrum/Agile development

Client relation experience
