Software Engineer/Analyst - Dublin, Ireland
A leading bank is now looking for Software Engineer/Analyst for contract role (4 months with high possibility of extension)
The role offers excellent exposure to SEPA Migration and compliances procedures.
THE JOB:
- Develop a detailed technical understanding of the Bank's customer solution/service being deployed for SEPA compliance.
- Support Bank's customers with their transition to the new solution. This includes email, telephone and face to face contact with customers.
- Provide first level support to customers during solution pilot phase.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks, as required, for customer migration work-stream. This may include work on Legacy applications.
- Provide support to customers during file testing including reporting back to to customer on results, and assistance in rectification.
HAVE YOU?
- 2+ years experience as Software Engineer/Technician
- Good understanding of XML structures & XSDs
- Be able to interpret a specification and relates to files that follow the specification
- Be able to desk check files for alignment with those files specifications
- Be able to communicate technical issues clearly to non technical customers
- Strong working knowledge of tools (incl. sFTP, HTTPS, Web Browsers, Web Servers, Windows, Firewalls)
- Understand browser and local settings and their affect on business web-site behaviour
- Be able to trouble shoot access, setup, connection problems from an end-user perspective
- Understanding test results and how those relate to customer submissions
- Good working knowledge of MS-EXCEL, Word, VISIO and data analysis techniques
