Software Engineer

Software Engineer required for a leading Aerospace company based in Cheltenham to assist with the development of PCB functional diagnostic Test Equipment. Responsible for the development and support of test equipment for the functional test and diagnostics of a range of avionics products.

You will design and create platform software in C/C++, implement application software against test requirements, integrate application and platforms, conduct validation and verification activities and produce documentation.

Essential requirements:

- Strong experience of software coding (highly desirable - C++)
- Experience of developing and implementing functional verification for PCBs
- Good understanding of test equipment hardware
- Good understanding of processors (desirable - TI AM3358 processor)
- Use of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Experience of hardware and software integration
- Experience implementing test requirements into test scripts
- Experience writing and integrating software drivers with hardware

Other desirable but non-essential requirements:

- Boundary scan experience
- JTag ProVision experience
- ATLAS experience
- Experience of Test Executive customisation (eg AT Easy/Test Stand or similar)

This new development will require an experienced Software Design Engineer with full life cycle experience that can bring ideas and expertise to advise and make recommendations and suggestions to achieve project objectives.
