Software Engineer

Wireless Communications solutions provider is seeking two 3GPP Wireless Core Software developers for long term opportunities based near Dallas, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Candidate will design and develop software features utilizing object-oriented analysis and design with UML language
- Candidate will compile and build Linux kernels, debug and resolve issues, and develop and apply Linux kernel patches

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in Linux kernel maintenance, modification, debugging, and patching
- Proven exp designing and developing software features utilizing object-oriented analysis and design with UML language
- Skills implementing software features utilizing C/C++ in an UNIX or Linux embedded environment is preferred
- Experience developing software features for 3GPP wireless core nodes, telecommunication protocols and real-time operating systems is highly desired
- Must have a thorough understanding of the Linux kernel boot process, an understanding of the Linux kernel file system & policies supported by the Linux scheduler
