My client is a large company that provides IT solutions to the global tourism and travel industry. They are currently looking for a Software Developer to work on a progress tourism application.
The Software Engineer we are looking for will design and develop software modules according to the specifications. He or she will provide input to improve the quality and functionality of the development. This also means executing and validating unit and regression tests. The candidate will ensure a good balance between quantity and quality within the development budget. Therefore, he or she will communicate the development progress and issues to the direct manager. Finally, the software engineer will ensure the use of development standards and create technical documentation.
To be considered for this project, you minimum have 3 years of experience in the field. For this project, you have excellent programming skills. This means good familiarity with UNIX and experience with progress development application. Experience with Java, XML and UML are considered as very nice to have. Also knowledge of Datamodelling tools, Open Edge 10, Database trigger, Message Queuing, API and Source Managements tools is a plus. Above all, having experience in programming with Progress is considered as a strong asset. You work well-organised and you are detail-oriented. Finally, for this project, you speak English fluently.
