Software Development Engineer

Our hugely popular client is seeking a talented SOFTWARE ENGINEER with a proven background in developing tools and automated solutions.

Can you design and build software tools, improve existing processes and systems through automation? Can you proactively coordinate with multiple functions on solution requirements, drive progress and integrate updates in a timely fashion? Are you able to quickly dive deep on issues and provide timely solutions? We're looking for a strong Software Engineer with a delivery focus to develop and execute against tools and automation needs.

This opportunity requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on coding skills, as well proven problem-solving and communication skills. At the core of the position is delivery.

Knowledge of the following is required: localization processes, tools and technology, service-oriented architecture, product development, and database design. Candidates should also have 5 or more years of relevant work experience in software localization. An undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, C#, or PERL.
- Experience building localization processes, tools and infrastructure
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple business units
- Fundamental engineering skills across the development life cycle

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience developing in a Linux environment
- Experience with web services and mobile platforms
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

This is a 3 month contract opportunity.
