Software Development Engineer

Our client is the LEADING COMPUTER COMPONENTS MANUFACTURING COMPANY seeking a HIGH-LEVEL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER for a premium contract opportunity. This project involves enhancing and supporting a three-tier business application that is comprised of approximately 500K line of C# code. The database Back End is Microsoft SQL Server. The user interface is WPF/XAML in a MVVM pattern. Important elements of the system are also implemented in ASP.NET (SOAP).

The primary responsibility of this role is to write and test code for our project. This includes fixing bugs, writing unit tests, adding new features, participating in the Scrum activities, and other activities related to developing software in a production environment.

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Writing, reviewing, testing, and preparing software for formal release
- Leveraging existing application and test framework, defining your own unit test plans for industry standard functionality as well as features not available in the marketplace today
- Interacting frequently with other developers, marketing, validation and quality engineers to optimize product definition, root cause issues and verify fixes and deliver on tasks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 7+ years professional work experience programming for the Microsoft Windows environment
- 5 or more years working in C#
- 3 or more years working on WPF/XAML
- Experience writing and debugging WPF/XAML application in a MVVM pattern
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to take and follow directions and deliver to a schedule
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for quality, a fast paced and challenging environment, and enjoy working as an integral member of a product development team
- Scrum experience
- May require work outside of business hours on short notice

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with ASP.NET especially SOAP calls
- Knowledge of SQL (SQL Server) in a production environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Sync Framework
- Experience using WMI
- Experience in developing and understanding the intricacies of large scale software development
- Experience deploying Cloud-based solutions
