Software Development Engineer

Our super high-visibility client is looking for strong technical leaders to drive the design, architecture, and implementation of next generation functionality for the client's Subscribe & Save program.

Customers around the world love Subscribe & Save for the convenience and savings. The program allows customers to sign up for regular deliveries on products they routinely use, such as diapers, vitamins, coffee, nutrition bars, and paper towels. Subscribers get 5% off of their orders, plus free shipping. The client is constantly looking for opportunities to expand this feature to other types of products.

Subscribe and Save is a rapidly growing, high-profile, customer-facing program that spans client categories, technologies, and countries. SDEs on this team have many opportunities to work with business and technical stakeholders around the company and directly impact customer experience.

This team builds and owns:

- Customer-facing website features
- Web services for interacting with customer and business applications
- Workflow applications for managing Subscribe & Save subscription states and events
- Buyer tools for managing Subscribe and Save selection and inventory management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years in software development
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Proven track record in delivering features in agile environment
- Understanding and experience in object-oriented design and data structures
- Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Solid experience with web development technologies, particularly Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript with AJAX, Database design and SQL
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with Oracle and MySQL
- Experience working with Spring and Hibernate
- Experience with Java testing frameworks like JUnit and EasyMock
