SALARY UP TO £25,000 ON GRADE D DEPENDING ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE, PLUS A FURTHER £5,000 ALLOWANCE FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY FOR MPHIL.

The University of Exeter and Lineal Software are seeking to appoint a bright and enthusiastic recent graduate to work on a cutting edge IT project. This post is available immediately for 30 months and is funded by a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Lineal Software Solutions Ltd and the University of Exeter.  The post holder will also have the opportunity to study for a higher level qualification (MPhil) if desired.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the company and academic staff to extend the company's current software into the mobile market. The aim is to develop a software framework capable of providing a bespoke, integrated and richly featured mobile software solution. This will provide Lineal customers with access to mobile information in Real Time, across areas such as stock control, customer relationship management and accounts software.

Lineal Software Solutions Limited is an IT company that provides a complete service to all of its clients including business software development, hardware sales, network maintenance and IT support. More information can be found on the website.

Applicants will possess minimally BSc Graduate (2:1 or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. An MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent post-graduate qualification will be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of one or more of:
Javascript, HTML5, SQL, Omnis, mobile application development.

Knowledge or experience within related industry sectors such as accounts/CRM would be an advantage.

Applicants will have excellent communications skills (both written and oral). They should possess a flair for training and dissemination of new information. Applicants will also have excellent time management, project management and organisational skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems. 

The candidate must be dynamic and inquisitive with the ability to work responsibly, with enthusiasm and ability to communicate and work with staff at all levels. The suitable candidate will be self-motivated, well organised and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The candidate will be based with Lineal Software Solutions Ltd in Barnstaple for the majority of the time.

The closing date for applications is TUESDAY 7TH OCTOBER. Interviews are expected to take place on 16th October 2014 at the Lineal premises, Barnstaple.
