Software Developer (Control & Monitoring)

Software Developer needed to develop a Control and Monitoring System. Fixed term contract. 3-6 months, with strong possibility of going permanent. Contract to start January 2014.
My client are an exciting and high growth start up with unlimited expansion potential who have spun out from the highly prestigious Cambridge Consultants. Leading a revolution in their field, they are looking for a mathematically gifted Software Engineer to join the development team to design and develop a Control and Monitoring System, allowing users to check system status and maintainers, in order to isolate faults to a single Line Replaceable Unit.
Development will consist of SNMP agents, running on elements of the system and an SNMP manager to consolidate the data and present it to the user via a webserver. Cutting edge technology is dependent on solid foundations and building blocks this is an opportunity to become a fundamental part of a growing business. The contract will initially run for 3-6 months with a strong possibility of an opportunity to join the company permanently, if the successful candidate so desires.

Requirements for the Software Developer (Control and Monitoring System) position:
-Monitoring system design including user interface.
-SNMP v3.
-Webserver implementation (Apache).
-Experience working in a safety related environment desirable.
