Software Dev Engineer Test

To be successful you'll need to have lots of experience with C++ or Java, test framework design and implementation, customer focus, knowledge of SOA, experience working with databases, and excellent communication skills. You must be a fast, efficient coder and make coding and design decision with multiple simultaneous dimensions in mind. You probably have more than 5 years of experience. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Writing test plans and designing test cases
- Translating manual testing into test automation and creating solid test frameworks for the team
- Following best practices, including a variety of different testing protocols and tools
- Performing black and White Box testing while focusing on great automation
- Working closely with the development team to assure production code quality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS or MS in CS/EE or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or a Software Development Engineer in Test
- Minimum 2 years of experience using the Java programming language and overall 4 years programming experience
- Experience using and administering a continuous integration tool like Hudson or Jenkins
- Experience building and testing APIs and services
- Experience with code coverage, profiling, and performance/load testing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Selenium webdriver highly preferred
- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems or test frameworks
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience with QA automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, QTP, or equivalent) and experience writing scripts (Perl, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent)
- Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team
- Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from Front End user interfaces through to Back End systems and all points in between
