SOFTWARE DEV ENGINEER SEATTLE, WA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our high-visibility client's International Retail Division is building a team to define, design and develop exciting new products!

We are looking for experienced Developers with strong architectural and design skills or testers for end-to-end experience. In this position you will be part of the team that drives the changes to the enterprise to support multiple languages and improve the international shopping experience.

You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures, development and functional requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly identify and design solutions that work with all core components of the infrastructure. The goal is to accelerate the time to market to support multiple languages in all marketplaces.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years experience building successful production software systems
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
- Experience developing service oriented architectures and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C/C++, C#, Java, Perl and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)
- Good in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of system performance methodologies along with hands-on empirical monitoring
- Strengths in coding, data structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Design, multi languages and security fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
- Expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative applications
- Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Excellent written communication and verbal agility are strong assets
- Experience in international and multi-cultural environment a strong plus
