Software Design Engineer (m/f)

- Enhancement and maintenance of the BTS transport software
- C/C++ and applications will be running in Linux (SMP) environment on various platforms: MIPS, x86 or in a Virtual Machine (VM)
- Implementation of test scripts for automated module and functional testing
- Close co-operation with hardware and software integration teams as well as test teams around the globe
- Work in a Scrum team following Agile software development techniques: timeboxing, pair programming, peer reviews, etc.

- Understanding the system requirements and functionality of the target system (UMTS and LTE BTS transport system)
- Experienced in object oriented software design and programming in C/C++
- Profound programming skills (esp. C/C++ ), TCL / Perl scripting is a plus
- Experience in software development with Linux SDK (gcc, gcov, gprof, etc)
- Understanding of Linux network internals e.g. TCP/IP stack, network security (IPSec), iptables, VPN
- Experience in software configuration management (preferably Subversion, ClearCase)
